- Ibay-Williams Family
Our time at NOVA Academy was incredible. My son has now transitioned over to kindergarten this year, but thanks to NOVA Academy he was more than prepared. He was there since right before he turned 3 (he'll be 6 in December). The teachers here truly excel at what they do. They truly care about and enjoy working with children. They have been a huge part of my son’s life; I like to call them my village. The curriculum is great, my son already knows how to write his name, his ABCs, numbers up to 100, shapes, colors, etc. On top of that, he learned manners, social and communication skills.

Two-Year-Old Program in Alexandria, VA
Our two-year-old program focuses on stimulating language, creativity, and cognitive skills along with social and physical growth. A day-to-day schedule and weekly plan is created and shared with parents for these six areas. Each day your child experiences creative play, story time, art, language development, music and movement along with other activities designed to promote all areas of development.
Designed to develop a natural and life long excitement for learning, our three-year-old students learn how to build early writing and literacy skills, engage in concrete mathematical experiences and learn how to make friends. This is done as the children listen to stories, re-tell events, and perform dramatic play with puppets and props. Hands-on activities provide opportunities for exploration of concepts such as classification, serration, spatial relationships and numbers.
In this program, your four-year-old child explores concepts in reading, math, and science as we continue to promote language and physical development. This hands-on approach to learning new skills is introduced through daily stories and games that teach your child math concepts, the alphabet, and phonic awareness. Our science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curriculum incorporates teaching methods that respect children’s natural learning process.
Summer Camp at Northern Virginia Academy offers a fun, safe, and enriching environment for children from the end of the school year through August, with field trips, outdoor play, and exciting themed activities. Seasonal camps are also available during winter and spring breaks, keeping kids active and engaged year-round.

Shareese Ladd, BS/Psychology, MA/Early Childhood Education About Me
My name is Shareese Ladd, and I would like to introduce myself as the District Director of Northern Virginia Academy of Early Learning. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University and a Master’s degree from Capella University in Early Childhood Education. I have completed several developmental studies on adolescents from birth to age five.
I am originally from Brooklyn, New York and I relocated to Northern Virginia with my family as an adolescent. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband. Our goal is to travel to all 50 states.
I have been in the childcare field for more than 18 years, 12 of them at of Northern Virginia Academy of Early Learning. My goal in the educational leadership of Northern Virginia Academy of Early Learning is to maintain an open, strong and trusting work environment, with management and staff that are dedicated to upholding the honor and privilege of making an impact on the lives of small developing children. Working with people and children is something that I thoroughly enjoy doing, and I couldn’t imagine a career doing anything else. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your family.
We have three children, the first two went to a different neighborhood daycare and our youngest to this one. This daycare is wonderful and avoided many pitfalls we experienced with the other. These people are reliable which is an absolute necessity for childcare. They try to stay open on inclement weather days when parents must work regardless. They're very accommodating and although all childcare is expensive, relatively affordable. They make the most of what they have. Great summer camp and periodic activities like a Magician, animal handler, and all sorts of fun. Nice big playground. Clean interior. Most importantly, our daughter LOVED Ms. Sharon. When it came time to join her brothers at their school, she said she was ready but would miss Ms. Sharon as they loved each other so much. Also I place high premium on administration quality and Jenny is great. Very responsive, professional yet personable.
Highly recommend this daycare.
We have been consistently going to this daycare for 7 years! My oldest, now in 3rd grade, started here when she was 2. My 2 other children have followed, with my youngest now in Pre-K. The teachers are dedicated to making the kids feel safe, cared for, and comfortable, all while teaching them skills to prepare for Kindergarten and beyond. The staff, Director (new and old) and families really make this place amazing. I highly recommend sending your child here!
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this NOVA Early Learning-Lincolnia. From the moment we enrolled our daughter at 2 years old (she is now 4) and son (2), we felt welcomed into a community that genuinely cares. Director Ginny sets the tone—she’s amazing: attentive, responsive, and clearly passionate about creating a nurturing environment for every child.
What stands out most is how personal everything feels. The teachers know every child’s name, and it’s clear they love what they do. We’ve especially bonded with Ms. Sharon and Ms. Senait, who have been with the school for over a decade. Their warmth, consistency, and deep experience give us so much peace of mind. They treat our kids like family, and it shows in the way our children light up when they see them each morning.
This isn’t just a daycare—it’s a place where relationships grow, and where children are truly seen and cared for. We’re so grateful to be part of it.
We feel so incredibly blessed and fortunate to have found such a warm and wonderful daycare at Northern Virginia Academy. Over the past year, it has been amazing to watch our daughter learn and grow through the truly nurturing care received. Our daughter has been so blessed with awesome teachers who not only understand her challenges but also handle them with grace and patience. We are so impressed with how friendly and professional the entire staff are. They are excellent communicators, and their knowledge of early childhood education is evident in everything they do. Thank you for making this such a positive experience for the whole family.
We absolutely love this daycare! The teachers and director are incredibly kind, supportive, and always willing to help. They truly care about each child and it shows. The app they use is amazing. It gives me updates, photos, and info about my son’s day, which brings me so much peace of mind.
My son started here struggling to communicate, but the staff went above and beyond to connect with him and support his development. Now he’s thriving and loves going every day. I couldn’t ask for a better place for him. Highly recommended!
This is a great daycare/pre-school. My daughter attended the school for one year and joined kindergarten with confidence and so much knowledge because of the Great teachers such as Ms. Senait, Ms. Sharon, and the rest of the team, and wonderful director Ms. Ginny. Now my son is going to the school as well and he is doing great. Learning how to read/write, math and science, all designed to help the 4 year olds be successful in kindergarten. The facility is clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and love the children. The school was recommended to me by my neighbor, her son went to the school and had a wonderful experience. It was the best recommendation. If you choose NOVA, you will not be disappointed!!
My daughter attend the day care now she start when she was 2yrs. The Director and staff are so friendly to the children and keep us update. They always engage the children in activities in door and out door. Also the place is always neat. My daughter is more active now compare when she first start. Thank you Lincolnia Campus
I enjoy the leadership and direction this schools has. My child has progressed in many ways because of his teachers and the staff. They are honest, take feedback and are gentle. I think many parents can benefit from their children going here.
My daughter attended this daycare at 2.5 years old. She learned a lot, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Academically, this daycare is excellent for kids, and the staff became like a family for her. Now she is 7 years old and is attending the AAP program in her elementary school, and I think that her time here helped her in shaping her education.
