Extended Care (Before and After School Program) is available for school age children at our Ashburn and Burke campuses.
Our Before and After School Program is open to children ages five to twelve who attend elementary schools in the vicinity of Northern Virginia Academy’s Ashburn and Burke campuses. Afternoon snacks are provided to all children. This program gives children space to relax and decompress outside of their structured school day, with focus largely shifting to social aspects.

Before and After School Program = Extended Care = School Age Program
Also called our School Age Program, this program offers a balanced mix of opportunities and activities to inspire children without causing burnout. Opportunities include academic enrichment, arts and crafts, and the building of strong friendships amongst their peers. Activities are varied and flexible, catering to different interests and energy levels, ensuring that children remain engaged and enthusiastic without feeling overwhelmed. They include outdoor play, table games, cooking activities, quiet time, arts and crafts, and a supervised homework period. Field trips may be scheduled on extended days.
